Stairs and Step Pads

Concrete stairs and step pads are a durable and long-lasting solution for outdoor access and landscaping. Our process of building these sturdy concrete structures involves several key steps to ensure quality and longevity.

First we have to make a stable foundation. the area for the stairs or step pads must be properly excavated and the ground leveled. A gravel base is then laid and compacted to provide a solid base for the concrete. The next stage we come in and build out forms constructed using weather-resistant lumber to define the shape and dimensions of the stairs or pads.

Next, we pour high-strength concrete into the forms, ensuring even coverage and a smooth finish. For stairs, reinforcing steel bars or mesh may be incorporated to add extra strength and prevent cracking. The concrete is allowed to cure for several days before the forms are removed.

Finally, once cured the concrete surfaces can be finished with a broom or trowel to create a slip-resistant texture. Decorative elements like stamped patterns or colored concrete can also be incorporated to enhance the aesthetic appeal. Proper sealing and regular maintenance will help the concrete stairs and step pads withstand the elements for years to come.
